Buick Adds Increased Safety Features to Encore Lineup

The 2019 Buick Encore has arrived at select Chris Auffenberg dealership locations. Along with some fresh new color options for the new model year, the 2019 Buick Encore is adding an extra add-on safety package to its lineup that allows drivers to further customize their crossover to their liking without hiking up the MSRP for drivers who are not interested. Standard Safety

The 2019 Buick Encore lineup reserves all of its active safety equipment for optional add-on packages and higher trim levels, so standard safety comes in the form of passive options like a suite of airbags, anti-lock brakes, a stability control system, a rearview camera, and more.

Available Safety

Enhancing safety features are offered through two optional packages, which are included as standard on certain higher trim levels. The initial package, named the Safety Package, incorporates Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, aiding drivers in detecting potential dangers in their blind spots during street navigation or crowded parking scenarios. The second bundle, known as Safety Package II, comprises an ionizing air purifier, Rainsense windshield wiper blades, Front and Rear Parking Assist, Forward Collision Alert, and Lane Departure Warning. Leveraging exterior cameras and sensors, these systems provide preemptive alerts to drivers about potential hazards, preventing collisions.
