Yesterday, Ford Bronco fans got the announcement they have been eagerly waiting for. The Ford Bronco SUV is making its way back into the Ford lineup after being gone since the mid-nineties. Ford posted an image of new Bronco’s exterior covered in a muddy tarp along with the news that the SUV model is expected for release in 2020. Three other Ford truck and SUV models are also expected to be released the same year helping to make the 2020 Ford lineup the freshest in the market.
“We’ve heard our customers loud and clear. They want a new generation of vehicles that are incredibly capable yet fun to drive. Bronco will be a no-compromise midsize 4×4 utility for thrill seekers who want to venture way beyond the city,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of The Americas.
While the new Ford Bronco will be equipped with the latest Ford tech offerings, it is expected to look similar to Bronco models of the past as evidenced by the photo Ford posted to its social media accounts. The exterior details are covered by the tarp, but it’s clear the shape will remain boxy and it seems to have a full-size spare attached to the back.

Along with ground up redesigns for popular Ford models like the Explorer, Escape, and F-150, Ford is also planning on introducing four brand new models into the fold by the 2020 model year. The new models include the Ford Bronco, Ford Edge ST, Ford Explorer ST, and an unnamed off-road SUV. The Ford Ranger midsize truck will also be returning to the midsize segment.
