Deciding on the Ford F-150 or Super Duty is easy. Rating high in reliability and customer satisfaction, both are dependable workhorses that can get the job done for years to come. However, when it comes to options, Ford truck shoppers have a lot to think about. First, car shoppers should consider the cab configurations and bed lengths before choosing engines and optional amenities. So, Regular Cab vs SuperCab vs SuperCrew – what’s the difference and which will make the most sense for you? Keep reading to find out.

Regular Cab vs SuperCab vs SuperCrew – What’s the Difference

Regular Cab

Seating Capacity: 3
Bed Lengths: 6.5 feet or 8 feet

The Regular Cab is the most basic Ford truck model with two doors and an interior bench seat that can sit a max of three, but two would be more comfortable. This option is available on some of the lower more budget-friendly trim options and is a great choice for someone who needs power without the ability to seat a lot of passengers. Because the interior is bare bones, the Regular Cab has a higher towing capability than the other cabs because of the lower weight.

SuperCab

Seating Capacity: 6
Bed Lengths: 6.5 feet or 8 feet

The SuperCab style hits the middle ground between the basic Regular Cab and passenger-friendly SuperCrew. It offers max seating for six in the form of a front and rear bench seat, meaning unless you want to squish four adults would be most comfortable. It also offers partial rear doors. Partial rear doors require the front door to be opened before access to the rear door is available and they also require that the rear door be closed before the front door.

SuperCrew

Seating Capacity: 6
Bed Lengths: 5.5 feet or 6.5 feet

The SuperCrew cab style is the most passenger-friendly of the bunch. It has a max seating capacity of six and all seats should be more comfortable for adults than the previous bench seats in the other configurations. It also has two full doors making access to the rear seats quick and easy. However, because of the additional weight of the interior, it will offer a lower towing capacity than the other options.
