The annual St. Patrick’s Day parades in downtown St. Louis and the St. Louis Dogtown neighborhood will see some changes to their schedules and start times in 2018 thanks to an overlap in parade dates. Traditionally, the Dogtown parade is held on St. Patrick’s Day while the downtown parade is held on a Saturday. Since St. Patrick’s Day lands on a Saturday this year, event officials have changed parade start times to help accommodate local public safety officials and residents who would like to attend both parades. 2018 Start Time: 1pm
Parade Route: The downtown parade beings at the intersection of 20th and Market then follows Market east turning right on Broadway and concluding at the intersection of Broadway and Clark.
Additional Details: This year’s parade will be the 49th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade held in downtown St. Louis. The parade operates rain or shine. It’s one of the largest events each year in downtown St. Louis drawing about 250,000 attendees each year.
2018 Start Time: 10am
Parade Route: The parade will follow Tamm Avenue beginning at the intersection of Tamm and Oakland and ending at Tamm and Manchester.
Additional Details: The Dogtown parade is sponsored by The Ancient Order of Hibernians and has been put on annually in the Dogtown area of St. Louis since 1984. Interested attendees can adopt-a-barricade to support the parade and will receive a parade banner to display on a barricade with their family’s name on it.
