These settings are different for every car so you will need to check your owner’s manual for specific instructions for your vehicle.

Keep your windshield clean

Even the smallest amount of dirt, grim, or oil can greatly increase the amount of glare on your windshield at night, even if it is clear during day driving. If you are experiencing extra glare at night, give your windshield a thorough cleaning. Some car detailers also wipe their freshly cleaned windshields with a spare piece of newspaper to get rid of any oils or reside left behind.

Avoid driving at night if you are tired as this can greatly increase the chances of an accident. If you find yourself getting a little sleepy behind the wheel, pull over at the nearest gas station or open space and get out of the car and walk around.
