Technology features that are becoming available and standard on vehicles are increasing and changing rapidly. There are now systems to help view vehicles in your blind spot, help you prevent a crash, assist you with parking, and many more. Kia has a suite of technologies called UVO. What is the UVO technology available on select Kia vehicles? Keep reading to learn more about UVO!

What is included with the UVO technologies?

UVO is a suite of many technologies that you can use from your phone for your Kia vehicle. For example, if you want to warm up your vehicle, you can do so from your phone. If you were hiking and got a little lost, you could find your vehicle using your phone.

There are four available packages for UVO. They are the Lite, Care, Plus, and Ultimate. Features that are included in all of the packages include trip information, 911 connect, maintenance reminders, remote mileage check, vehicle health report, remote charge and stop charge, and charging status notification. As you increase in packages more features become available to you.

How do I set up UVO?

It takes four steps to set up UVO. The first is that you must download Kia Access with the UVO app. Next, type in your vehicle’s VIN number and ask for a verification code. Then, you activate UVO in your vehicle. Finally, click I have entered code on your app, and you are ready to go!
