To replace a flat tire in your car, you will need a jack, a wrench, and a spare tire. Before you change or replace your flat tire, you must ensure that you have parked your vehicle away from the road, engaged your parking brakes, and turned on the hazard lights in your car. This is merely a safety precautionary measure undertaken to ensure no accidents occur mid repair.
Once you are prepared to begin the replacement process, pull on a pair of gloves and refer to the owner’s manual for information regarding the positioning of the jack. According to the manual, position the jack properly and raise the wheel. Spray a little WD-40 solvent on the lug nuts and use the wrench to remove the nuts. If your vehicle has a hub cap or wheel cover, use the flat end of the jack to remove it so that you can access the nuts.

Once the lug nuts have been removed, you can pull the wheel towards yourself to replace it with the spare tire. Hold the spare tire in position and replace the lug nuts by screwing it on using your hands. Now, lower the jack until the wheel touches the ground, tighten the nuts using the wrench, and replace the hub cap.
If you have followed these steps correctly, your flat tire has been replaced, and you are all set to continue your journey. Schedule service at Cape County Motors in any one of our six locations.
